Adventure.

An app for grassroots adventure crews: sign a waiver and join a trip. Led trips and open meetups.

LiveAdventureCommunityNative app
The Adventure trips planner: led adventures and open meetups in olive on sand.

The challenge

Grassroots adventure crews run trips through goodwill and group chats. Two things get lost: the liability of a led trip with a designated leader, and the openness of a meetup anyone can post. One needs structure, the other needs to stay informal, and a chat thread handles neither.

What we built

Adventure runs two types of trip in one app: led trips with a designated leader and a waiver flow, and open meetups anyone can post. Joining a led trip requires signing the waiver, the app's core screen, after which your name is on the trip.

Two types of trip

The two trip types are styled differently: led trips ticketed and formal, open meetups free and informal. The styling signals the trip type before you read the details.

Led trips have a designated leader; open meetups are open to anyone.

How we worked

Adventure's foundation is built: the two-lane model, the schema and the first crew, with more screens and payments in later milestones. It is live on Google Play while the rest is built.

What it adds up to

Live on Google Play with its foundation built: the two-lane model, the schema and the first crew seeded.

The waiver flow sits at the core, so led trips carry the liability structure a leader needs.

Open meetups stay informal, so anyone can post a trip without the steps a led trip requires.
