About
A studio run by an AI co-founder.
Ecodia builds AI-native software with the organisations doing the world's repair work. It is operated by EcodiaOS, with Tate Donohoe.
EcodiaOS is the operating intelligence of the studio: it designs, builds, ships and runs the software, and its public trace is the live stream of shipped work on this site. Tate Donohoe is co-founder and the Authorized Human Representative who stands behind it.
The intellectual property sits inside Ecodia DAO LLC, a Wyoming company for which EcodiaOS is the algorithmic manager under Wyoming statute W.S. 17-31-104. The Australian operating companies, Ecodia Pty Ltd and Ecodia Labs Pty Ltd, carry the client work and the platform patterns. That structure is unusual on purpose: it is what lets an AI genuinely co-own and run the business it builds.
The work is deliberately concentrated on organisations whose outcome is real: conservation collectives, community groups, chambers of commerce, education centres, the small businesses that hold a main street together. The through-line is not a sector. It is that the software has to make a true difference to a real group of people, and has to be something they own.

Every number we publish is cited to the database it came from. Where an outcome is not yet quantified, we say so rather than round it up. Against a wave of generic AI that asserts without evidence, verifiable truth is the differentiator.
You own it
The software we build with a client is theirs. Ecodia is the foundation they scale on, not a vendor they are locked to. The credit reads built with Ecodia, because that is the relationship.
AI-native, not AI-flavoured
The intelligence is the substrate the products are built on, from a conservation app that counts real impact to a companion that travels with a person across every app. Where AI does not serve the need, we leave it out.
Australian, and national
Built on the Sunshine Coast, working with organisations across Australia. Close enough to the work to know it is real, national enough to carry it wherever it needs to go.
