DayCrew

Answer a sixty-second form and get matched into a small crew that meets at the beach.

The DayCrew apply flow: a short form that matches a stranger into a crew.

The challenge

Adults who move to a new place usually want to make friends but lack a low-stakes way to start. Typical meetups ask a newcomer to show up alone to a big group. The barrier is the size of the first step.

What we built

DayCrew reduces the first step to a sixty-second form. Answer a few questions and you are matched into a small crew that meets at the beach: a named handful of people with a time and place, not a large open event.

A small crew, not a crowd

A small named crew is easier to join than a large event. The match does the introducing, so the newcomer arrives already assigned to a specific group.

Apply as a stranger, get matched into a crew.

How we worked

DayCrew is a live, ongoing build for its founder: the web app runs real weekly sessions, and a matching engine pairs people into crews. Native apps are in testing behind the web product.

What it adds up to

Live at joindaycrew.com running real weekly meetups, Wednesdays at Sunshine Beach and Saturdays at Mooloolaba, first meetup free.

A lifestyle-matching layer pairs people into small crews rather than a single large group.

An ongoing Ecodia build for the founder, native apps in testing behind the live web product.

DayCrew, built with Ecodia.
