Nature and community have always been a big part of my life. Growing up near the beach and being a water sign, I’ve always felt connected to the outdoors. My parents were involved in dune restoration, and our family camping trips taught me to appreciate living simply and respecting the environment.
Later, while living in Airlie Beach, I joined the Eco Barge program, spending days with like-minded people cleaning up island shorelines and sorting the collected rubbish. It was a highlight of my time there. More recently, I volunteered with a non-profit horse rescue in Bali, helping exercise the horses along the beach and I also got to release a baby sea turtle into the ocean. To this day I make efforts to clean up litter along the way.
These experiences, big and small, have shaped my deep respect for nature and my ongoing commitment to protecting it.
I care a lot about things like reducing waste, reusing what I can, and supporting sustainable choices in everyday life. I’m not perfect, but I try to stay mindful about the impact I have... whether that’s bringing my own cup, thrifting instead of buying new, or just spreading the word about eco-friendly habits. For me, it’s all about making small changes that add up and encouraging others to do the same.
