Abigail is an absolute standout human being. From day-one of her journey with Ecodia, the effort and impact she provided was felt by us all. From her natural ability to connect with strangers, to the constant initiative she takes to make the world a better place. We and the World are so lucky to know her.
Hi, I’m Abbi.
My passion lies in supporting communities that experience social and development challenges. I recently completed a degree in International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Queensland, where I was introduced to the power of community-led development. Learning about the impact of grassroots organisations and local leadership showed me that real, lasting change doesn’t come from the top down, it comes from within communities themselves.
That’s exactly what drew me to ECODIA. I didn’t want to wait until the midpoint of my career to start making a difference, I wanted to take action now. ECODIA gave me that opportunity. As Marketing Manager, I focus on connecting with young people and designers, giving them opportunities to gain experience, build their networks, and be fairly paid for their contributions. I also help lead our outreach and communications, sharing our work and building partnerships that help us grow our impact. I also help with our volunteering programs which provide leadership training and space for young people to step into their potential as the next generation of change-makers.
Being part of ECODIA means working alongside a team of passionate people who believe in doing things differently, with purpose, energy, and community at the core. It’s exciting, challenging, and meaningful. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.
