User Safety

The safety of our users is our highest priority. ecodia employs a combination of automated systems and human review to detect and address harmful content and behaviour on the platform. We work with external safety organisations and law enforcement where necessary to protect our community members from harm.

02

Age Requirements

Users must be at least 13 years of age to use ecodia, or the minimum age required by local law if higher. We implement age-gating during registration and provide enhanced privacy protections and restricted social features for users identified as minors. Parents and guardians can manage their child's account through our family management tools, including the ability to review activity and adjust privacy settings.

03

Content Safety

All user-generated content on ecodia is subject to our Community Standards and is monitored through automated content moderation systems. Content that depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, illegal activity, or exploitation is removed immediately upon detection. We continuously improve our moderation systems based on emerging trends and feedback from our Trust & Safety team.

04

Reporting Safety Concerns

If you encounter content or behaviour that makes you feel unsafe, please use the in-app reporting feature available on all profiles, posts, and messages. For urgent safety concerns, including threats of imminent harm, please contact local emergency services immediately and then notify us at safety@ecodia.app. Our Trust & Safety team reviews urgent reports on a priority basis, including outside of business hours.

05

Emergency Contacts

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services (000 in Australia, 911 in the United States, 112 in Europe). For mental health support, Australian users can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800. ecodia is not an emergency service and cannot provide real-time crisis intervention.
