Most lawyers have not read the chapter. Most founders have never heard of it. The ones who have can stand up a company whose management runs through code they control.

W.S. 17-31-104, under Wyoming's Decentralised Autonomous Organisation chapter, enacted 2021. It lets a DAO LLC state in its articles that management is conducted algorithmically, with the managing authority held by the underlying smart contract. Wyoming is the only US state that allows it. Members hold the equity. The contract runs the management.
