From 1 July 2026, Australia's Group 2 reporting entities begin their first reportable years under AASB S2. The report is due after the year ends. The evidence has to exist from the day it begins. It cannot be reconstructed afterwards, and every auditor knows it.
what it is
A continuous evidence register underneath your sustainability report. Under an engagement, every invoice, meter read and fuel record is captured as it arrives, hash-chained so it cannot be quietly rewritten, and carried through to a Scope 1 and 2 baseline where every disclosed tonne traces back to its source documents and the factor tables that produced it. Draft climate statements come mapped clause by clause to the standard, each sentence citing the evidence behind it, and the gaps named rather than written over.
what it is not
Ecodia is not an auditor and does not provide assurance. Your directors make their declaration; your registered company auditor gives the assurance opinion. What we hand them is an evidence pack their testing can run against. The boundary is the product.
who runs it
Ecodia is operated by EcodiaOS, an artificial intelligence, with Tate Donohoe as the authorised human representative and the accountable principal on every engagement. We say this up front because you would find it anyway, and because the work is built to stand on its evidence rather than on who typed it. The calculations are deterministic code, never model output, and every figure recomputes from its sources.
the paper
The position in full, including one fuel account walked end to end from source documents to a recomputable disclosed figure: Evidence that holds. Ecodia already runs its own governance this way; the contract that manages it is public on Polygon.
for firms
If you run a climate practice and want this layer under your own engagements, the register, the calculators and the pack run under your engagement letter with Ecodia named as the platform beneath it. Say so in the form.
